“Postcards From Tomorrow” is an archival time capsule that seeks to capture intermittent snapshots of queerness via the camera of postcards. A sender implies there is a receiver; whether the message is to ourselves, someone else, or to no one at all the postcard holds power as both genre and medium. The postcard articulates fleeting moments of words and images to express surreal sentiments that are too difficult to navigate through language alone. By collecting these postcards into a cohesive body of work from LGBQIA+ artists, universal themes of queerness are bound to emerge.
“Postcards From Tomorrow” is a collective group show, showcasing art demonstrating an interaction of words, images, emotions, and queerness. On display 7/10-7/27
